Two items here this week, both for a Holistic Therapist Practice. A 6pp A5 leaflet and an accompanying A5 flyer. Both printed in full colour both sides onto a new silk paper range Print Hut have recently introduced to our marketing paper range. Available in all paper weights from 90 gsm upto 350 gsm board, this range gives the printed item a soft sheen finish rather than a heavy shine effect from the gloss paper range. Artwork was compiled inhouse at Print Hut. Production time after proof approval was agreed at 5 working days. Delivery dates were met and all final invoicing was within budget.

Possible Funding on the Horizon
Print Hut are meeting this morning with Business Link with the view to securing some regional funding for the Company's growth plan for 2010. Many thanks to Business Link's Brian Leeming who hopefully will be fascilitating the application process with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Growth Fund. The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Growth Fund (CPGF) is available to organisations to help fund a programme of business support that you have agreed with Business Link East (BLE). The CPGF is a limited funding opportunity designed to provide one-off financial support for businesses and social enterprises looking to safeguard or create new jobs as part of their business growth plans.
Beneficiaries of the CPGF will gain access to the fund through the BLE service. The primary purpose of the Fund is to provide support to organisations with a growth agenda looking to expand their activities and safeguard jobs or create new jobs within the company.
Who is eligible for the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Growth Fund?
To become eligible for the fund each beneficiary must first have undertaken a business diagnostic and developed an action plan with a BLE adviser. The outcome of this diagnostic must be an agreed plan for growth with measurable outputs. This will include a proposal for the relevant support your organisations needs in order to realise your target of growth or job creation.
The CPGF is available only to SME businesses based in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough. Organisations may be in receipt of publically funded support but should match fund the grant with non-public money.

Young Enterprise Huntingdon
HUNTINGDONSHIRE'S brightest young entrepreneurs found out if the products and services they had created were a hit with Christmas shoppers at a bazaar in Huntingdon on last Saturday.
The trainee tycoons from the Huntingdon Young Enterprise board saw their wares go on sale for the first time. Huntingdonshire's Young Enterprise board encourages youngsters to set up real businesses while still at school, so they can learn at first hand how companies work.
The participants were judged by a panel chaired by Councillor Andrew Hansard, the district council cabinet member responsible for economic development and awarded prizes for the best stall, best product, best customer service and best innovation.

Print item of the week. 10th December 2009
Have been meaning for a while to include this printed item. Print Hut produced this catalogue a while ago and still sticks out as a cracking example of printed perfection. Litho printed in four colour process, this 76pp brochure with a 4pp cover really does scream at you out of the pages! Print Hut were priviledged to work along side a master of modern graphic design, namely Ian Hampson from Champion Design Consultants http://www.champion-design.com/.
The key to the success was the quality of the page make up and first class images used. The designers produced a theme that could easily and effectively be transcended through to the printed media, something that isn't always easy to come by. Well done to everyone involved. Production schedules were all met and within budget.
